v. 1.4

Device status

In force since October 8, 2026

MedSzafka is not a medical device and does not replace the advice of a doctor or a pharmacist.

What the app is

The app is a notebook for a home medicine cabinet: it records which medicines you have, how much is left and until when they are valid, and reminds you at the times you set yourself. The medicine catalogue comes from the Register of Medicinal Products; medicine descriptions are generated automatically from leaflets and are labelled as such.

What the app does not do

The app does not diagnose, does not choose medicines or doses, does not check interactions between medicines and does not assess symptoms. The assistant answers only questions about the medicines in your cabinet and does not recommend prescription medicines. The assistant's answers and the medicine descriptions are generated by a language model and may contain errors.

Before you take a medicine

The information in the app is an aid. Before taking a medicine:

  • read the leaflet that comes with the package,
  • check the name and the dose on the package, not only in the app,
  • if in doubt, ask a doctor or a pharmacist.

In an emergency

With life-threatening symptoms — difficulty breathing, chest pain, loss of consciousness, a severe allergic reaction — call 112. The app is not a tool for calling for help.

Liability

The scope of liability for the app is set out in the terms (the “Liability” section). It does not exclude liability for damage caused intentionally, nor liability that cannot be excluded towards a consumer.

Decisions about treatment are yours, together with a doctor or a pharmacist. The app helps you keep track — it does not replace them.
