v. 1.4

Terms of Service

In force since October 8, 2026

1. Who provides the service

The MedSzafka service (the "Application") is provided by Kamil Kuźma, contact: kontakt@medszafka.pl. These terms set out the rules for using the Application and are made available free of charge in a way that lets you download, display and save them.

2. What the service is

MedSzafka is a web application for running a home medicine cabinet: a record of medicines, their quantities and expiry dates, dosing plans with reminders, a cabinet shared with the household, a symptom diary, and an assistant that answers questions about the medicines in the cabinet. The service is provided electronically, in a browser, including once added to a phone's home screen.

MedSzafka is not a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and does not replace the advice of a doctor or a pharmacist. The contents of the Application — including the assistant's answers, which are labelled as generated by a language model — are informational. Treatment decisions are made by a doctor or a pharmacist; always read the leaflet before taking a medicine.

3. The account and the contract

The contract for the service is concluded when an account is created: by giving a name, an e-mail address and a password, and by making three statements — accepting the terms and the privacy policy, consenting to the processing of health data, and confirming an age of 16 or over. An account may be created by a person aged 16 or over.

One person keeps one account. You are responsible for keeping the password confidential and for what happens on your account. You confirm the e-mail address with a link; without confirmation you cannot invite household members or download a copy of your data. When you enter other people's data (household members), you do so as the person looking after them and you inform them.

4. Technical requirements

To use the Application you need: a device with internet access, a current browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge from the last two years) with JavaScript and local storage enabled, and an e-mail address. Push notifications need a browser that supports them; on an iPhone they work once the Application is added to the home screen. Scanning barcodes needs a camera. Without a connection the Application shows the last known data, and writes wait until the connection returns.

5. What is not allowed

When using the Application you may not:

  • Enter data about people who do not agree to it, or data you have no basis to enter — in particular health data of people outside your household.
  • Provide unlawful content: offensive, infringing other people's rights, or advertising prescription-only medicines.
  • Interfere with the Application: circumvent limits, automate requests, attempt to access other people's accounts or data.
  • Use the assistant to obtain medical advice in place of a consultation with a doctor or a pharmacist.

An account that breaks these rules may be suspended after a request to stop, and in the case of a serious breach without one. We inform you of a suspension by e-mail, with the reason.

7. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you may withdraw from the contract for a paid plan within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason, by sending a statement to kontakt@medszafka.pl. The refund is made within 14 days of receiving the statement, by the same payment method.

The plan starts immediately after purchase, at your express request. If you make full use of it within the 14 days, the right of withdrawal lapses (art. 38(13) of the Polish Consumer Rights Act); if you use it in part, we refund the amount for the unused period. On the free plan there is nothing to refund — you end the contract by deleting the account.

8. Complaints

You make a complaint by e-mail to kontakt@medszafka.pl, describing what does not work, when it happened and on which device. We answer within 14 days of receiving the complaint; no answer in that time means it is accepted. A consumer may also use out-of-court means of handling complaints — for example the European Commission's ODR platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr) — or turn to the district consumer ombudsman.

9. Ending the contract

You may end the contract at any time by deleting the account in the Application ("Your data" "Delete account"). For 30 days after requesting deletion you can reverse it by signing in; after that the account and the data are erased for good. An active paid plan is no obstacle — it runs until the end of the paid period or until the account is deleted, whichever comes first.

We may end the contract with 30 days' notice by e-mail when we stop providing the service, and without notice in the case of a serious breach of the terms (section 5). In both cases you have the right to download a copy of your data before the account is deleted.

10. Liability

We make every effort to keep the Application running correctly and without interruption, but the service is provided as available. We are not liable for:

  • The consequences of taking a medicine on the basis of information from the Application — the information, including the assistant's answers and medicine descriptions generated by a language model, may contain errors; check the leaflet and the packaging before taking anything.
  • A reminder not received for reasons on the side of the device, the browser, the operating system or the notification provider.
  • Interruptions caused by failures of providers beyond our control, or loss of data where the copy the Application lets you download was not used.

These limitations do not apply to damage caused intentionally or to liability that cannot be excluded towards a consumer.

11. Changes to the terms

The terms carry a version number and an effective date, shown at the top of this screen. We announce a change by e-mail at least 14 days before it takes effect, and on your next visit the Application asks you to read and accept the new version. If you do not accept the changes, you may end the contract by deleting the account before they take effect. Changes in the user's favour and editorial corrections may take effect without notice.
